FI[LE]

Closes all current file attachments, and allows new file names to be specified. All current data items, text items, levels and keys are lost. Equivalent to entering program for first time. Not active if files are pre-assigned.

FI[le] <filename> <NOCHECK>.... connects REPLAY to an existing SAVE file. PHOTON reads the file in order to check the number of frames and internal consistency, which may take some time if the file is large. If the file is known to be readable, the NOCHECK option may be specified in order to inhibit file checking.

FILE is usually the first command issued in a REPLAY session, and subsequent files can be examined by further use of the FILE command.

[File] activates the sub-menu for opening PHOTON data files or other I/O streams:

PHI,XYZ,USE,LOG,PHOTON-Save,Screen-dump,Hard-Copy,Replay

After pressing this button, PHOTON will prompt for you to type in the name of a saved file; the file must be written in PHOTON save format.

Allows further files to be attached. All existing items kept. Not active if files are pre-assigned

Allows file number n to be changed. If n is unspecified, the program will prompt for it. Not active if files are pre-assigned
