Library case I104:
FIRE IN AN UNDERGROUND TRAIN
This case represents simplified two-dimensional cross-
section of an underground station with the stationary open
carriage. Fire is burning inside the carriage. The
simulation shows whether ventilators are capable of
extracting the smoke. There are two air-vents above the
platform and the platform itself is open on the left
allowing supply of smoke-free air. The carriage is 'built'
out of several blockages. Turbulence is taken into account
with the help of k-e model.
