FLAIR Library case: Fire in an underground train (104).

  1. Problem.

  2. This two-dimensional case represents a simplified cross-section of an underground stationary carriage. A fire is burning inside the carriage. The simulation shows if the ventilators are capable of extracting the smoke. There are two air-vents above the platform, which is open on the left allowing supply of smoke-free air. Turbulence is modelled by means of k-e model.
