Example of transfer of geometry from an AUTOCAD DXF file into PHOENICS-VR

A converter program is attached to PHOENICS which can read a DXF file and convert the relevant geometrical data into a file which can be read by PHOENICS-VR.

The following image represents a house, designed by means of AUTOCAD, which records it in a DXF file.

Converting the file takes only a few seconds.

The next image shows the house in VR, together with a copied and rotated version of it.

Copying, resizing and re-location are easily effected by use of the control buttons and dialog boxes.

The next step would be the introduction of CFD boundary conditions, such as wind-direction and speed, solar heat flux, etc.

This is not illustrated here.
