4. PIL of version 2.1 onwards

Subsequent to the issue of version 1.5, several new commands have been introduced, largely in order to facilitate grid generation, namely:-

GSET, REGEXT, RSET and VIEW (without arguments).

Other new PIL commands include:

GGET, GLIST, GPROJ, GTPARG, MENSAV, MINPUT, PRNTIM, PTIME and STOVA

The COMMANDS which PIL now contains are therefore:-

• The VARIABLE-SETTING commands, as above.
• The DECLARATION and ARGUMENT-SETTING commands:-

ARRAY, BOOLEAN, CHAR, COVAL,CONPOR, DOMAIN, GRDPWR, GSET, INLET, INTEGER, MAGIC, OUTLET, OUTPUT,PATCH, RADIAT, READCO, REAL, RELAX, RESTRT, RSET, SETLIN, SETPT, SOLUTN, SOLVE, STORE, SUBGRD, TERMS, TEXT, TURMOD, VALUE, WALL, XCYIZ,

each of these being followed by (argument1,argument2, etc ).

• The FLOW-CONTROL commands:-

  CALL, CASE, DO, GO TO, IF, LABEL, LOOP, SUBROUTINE.

  These commands may be introduced only from the Q1 file, or the stack editor, but not interactively.

• The GRAPHICAL-DISPLAY commands:-

  GCLEAR,GDOM, GDRAW, GGRID, GLINE, GPATCH, GRDCHK, GTEXT, GVIEW, PLINE, PTEXT, VIEW

• The USER-INTERACTION commands:-

  MESG, MESGA, MESGB, MESGM, READVDU

• The INTERNAL-STATUS-CHECKING commands:-

  CHKLEN, CHKVAR, GETCOV, GETOUT, GETPTC, GETSOL, GTPARG, LOCATE, SORT

• the COPYQ1 formatting commands:-

  DUMP, Q1MESG

  In the TALK mode, the following additional commands are available:-

• The TERMINATION commands, as above.
• The DATA-DISPLAY commands:
  • SEE which displays the values of the data in all groups,
  • SEE n which displays the values of the data in group n,
  • SEE C which displays the user-declared character variables.
  • SEE I which displays the user-declared integer variables.
  • SEE L which displays the user-declared logical variables.
  • SEE R which displays the user-declared real variables.
  • SEEPTS for display of cell-corner coordinates.
  • SOLVED which displays current solved variables, and
  • STORED which displays current stored variables.
• The INFORMATION-SEEKING commands, as above.
• The PHOENICS Input Library commands:
  • SEELIB which displays the PHOENICS Input Library, and
  • LOAD which loads a selected example.
