TITLE : WAKE - SLOW JET ENTERING FAST-MOVING SURROUNDING
(LIBRARY CASE 887)
BY : CHAM Consultancy Team
DETAILS :
In this case a self-preserving free turbulent round jet is
considered; the surrounding fluid is moving with a speed
greater that that of a jet. A wake is like a 'negative
jet'; ie the velocity near the axis is less than that in
the surrounding stream.
The flow is 2-dimensional (y-z), Cartesian, steady,
and parabolic.
The k-l turbulence model is used in this example.
Pictures are as follows:
1. Velocity vectors
2. Temperature contours
3. Turbulent viscosity contours
