Echo DISPLAY / USE settings
DISPLAY
This is a 2D case to demonstrate how to make channel
or cavity through solid domain or objects. This feature
can be very helpful for mould designer when he/she
optimises the design by adding, removing, or changing
the position of runners or feeders without going back
to CAD.
In this example the domain is water, and the domain is
initially filled with a solid object FILL (hidden). The
violet cylinder cavity was carved from the solid by a
cylinder object with domain material.Then the solid black
cylinder was put in the center of the cavity. The blue
objects can be runners of domain material, which cut
through the solid domain-filling object and solid core.
