The fuel and air enter separately, and the EBU (i.e. eddy-break-up) combustion model is used. This involves the solution of conservation equations for the fuel mass fraction, the mixture fraction, the turbulence energy, ke, and the disipation rate, ep. The enthalpy equation is also solved, and the temperature is deduced from it and the concentrations. An eddy-break-up constant ( CHSOB) of 0.5 is specified. Other constants are: stoichiometric mixture fraction (TMP2A) = 5.482456E-02 heat of combustion (TMP2B) = 4.900000E+07 The results show that 87% of the fuel is consumed within the furnace.
